About the facilities:
CAMPING
We allow free overnight camping on the day before any ASR and ASMA promoted event.
There are no hookups, so bring anything you may need. There are porta-potties on site.
HOTELS
The closest hotels are in Deming, located 17 miles West of the racetrack. We recommend
both the Holiday Inn and La Quinta in Deming. La Quinta has special Arroyo Seco rates.
FOOD
We have an on site concession stand with different menu's for different events.
RESTAURANTS
Deming has many restaurants, ranging from some of the best Mexican food in the world.
After 8pm, selection is limited but Denny's in Deming has always been good and is open
late.
Las Cruces has most every big chain restaurants as well as a lot of very good independent
places. Roberto's has great burrito's and taco's and is located on Lohman West of Solano.
FUEL
Race fuel is generally available on site from our vendors. At the drag races Richard's
Automotive sells Phillips 66 and Lew Babanco of Lews Vinton Automotive currently sells
Sunoco race fuel.
The closest gas station is across the freeway at Akela Flats.
WEATHER
ASR has typical Southwest weather. This means it's usually pretty nice with the
exception of wind depending on the season. The rain in this area usually is confined to
small area's at a time so weather forecasts are inconsistent at best. We've been rained out
1 time in the last 2 years. (with the exception of Fast Friday's in which case we've been
rained out a few more times)
